जग हे बंदिशाला कुणी न येथे भलाचांगला, जो तो पथ चुकलेला	World is a prison, Nobody here is good and noble, Everybody has treaded on the wrong path,
ज्याची त्याला प्यार कोठडी कोठडीतले सखे सौंगडी हातकडी की अवजड बेडी, प्रिय हो ज्याची त्याला	Everybody likes his own prison cell, and the colleagues and friends there, Everybody is fond of The heavy binding shackles
जो तो अपुल्या जागी जखडे नजर न धावे तटापलीकडे उंबरातले किडेमकोडे उंबरिं करिती लीला	Everybody is fixed at his own place, They can't see beyond the wall They are like tiny creatures in a fig fruit Live and  play inside the fruit.
