Visit to Aavishkar Lab of Multiversity, Pune

After publishing Prof. B. D. Kelkar's Walchand Innovations brochure on www.walchandalumni.com, we had discussions about publishing his other books 'Dreams and Challeges' and 'Pasaydan'. Prof. B. D. Kelkar told me that he would be publishing Pasaydan, an epoch making book revealing scientific meaning of Dnyaneshwari, jointly with Padmashri Dr. Vijay Bhatkar. Incidently he told about the invitation from Aavishkar Lab of his Multiversity group of companies in Pune and suggested that I should accompany him. I gladly accepted the opportunity.

Accordingly myself, Shri. Arvind Yadav of Marathi Vidnyan Prabodhini and Prof. B. D. Kelkar visited Aavishkar lab in Pune. (www.aavishkarlab.in)

Young entrepreneurs of aavishkar lab, Project Manager,Saurabh Tiwari and Business Development Executive,Nikhil Gujar were happy to welcome us. Prof. B. D. Kelkar apprised them about the concept of Pasaydan and explained his work of developing science through toys and educational equipments through applied research company. He also stressed the need of creating tinkering attitude in students to foster innovation.

Then Saurabh  and Nikhil gave presentation of their  innovative e-steem training courses based on learning by doing principle, designed for students at school level.

The courses planned under  e-steem include  training of Science, Technology, Electronics, Environment and Mathematics.

They elaborated the details of electronics course structure and stage wise training modules having hands on experience and facility of  tinkering and trials with electronic components to learn the circuit for useful gadgets.

They also explained the success story of their project and displayed the reactions and satisfactory feedback of students and parents  with resource. Prof. B. D. Kelkar suggested that similar course can be designed and implemented in mechanical engineering based on his work of science through toys. They promised to explore that possibility.

After the presentation, we had a rare chance to meet Padmashri Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, pioneer of India's first super computer and great scientist and authority on Dnyaneshwari.

He walked down the hall and met us. I presented poem and sanskritdeepika books published by Dnyandeep Foundation and briefly told about my career with shift from environmental to IT. He looked at me in disbelief, He said 'World is moving from IT to environment and you are doing just opposite' I told him about web portals developed for Environment and Green technology and related seminars and conference conducted by Dnyandeep. He was satisfied that I was using IT for environment awareness.

He was curious about our Sanskritdeepika book and browsed through it. I also told him about our Sanskrit mobile apps with sound clips.

We were highly impressed by the activities of Aavishkar Lab and talked about possible collaboration for extending their activities in Sangli Kolhapur region. They were positive in approach and provided us the information about the business partnership.
