Formal and Informal Education

In our life, we are learning new things every moment  in the form of visuals, audio and through other senses and the information gets stored in the brain either for temporary or for longer time. Some of the  information  seeps through the top conscious memory to deep permanant memory getting converted into experience. This process of acquisition of knowledge is natural and hence we respect elders with experience higher than us.

We had old gurukul system of education, where students used to stay with their teacher and learn in a natural environment without other life attractions. The traditional skills and occupations were family based and sustainable to meet the needs of society.

With increase of population and need of speedy but effective education to masses, formal education system was evolved which has now expanded globally in the form of educational institutes and its working has become like an industry producing degree and diploma holders with specific qualifications.

Major part of our life is occupied with formal education which is well planned and has specific purpose and monitored by outside agencies like schools and colleges. School education teaches us about history, nature, society and gives us general information about the major faculties of knowledge necessary for doing service or business. The college education is required to  acquire skills and expertise in particular branch of knowledge. Degree or diploma certificate becomes the proof of our qualification.

Industries and business organisations select suitable candidates based on educational qualifications for further choice through personal interviews. Naturally formal education and success in the examination becomes a crucial factor in job placement.

Though formal education has a major role in career development, we find that religion, social service, pursuing art, music and in liturature, people seem to be following the old gurukul system of learning from guru. It is observed that people do life long studies to acquire knowlege or skills and get pleasure and satisfaction in life.

We also find many  people in society, who have failed to acquire necessary qualification in formal education, but succeeded in business or industry. They could succeed mainly due to actual working with established businesses and learning through failures and setbacks.

At present, there are many graduates in search of job having necessary qualifications but industry and business requirements are shrinking  drastically. Moreover, fresh graduates lack necessary skills or experience required  for starting new business or meeting industry requirements. The only way out is  to get expertise and skill development throgh gurukul type system of learning from successful people from industries and businesses by actual internship under their guidance.

Dnyandeep Foundation's online internship is mainly focussed on promoting such full time experience under the guidance of professionals.

However, considering the need of such facility to students pursuing academic course of people engaged in full time job, flexible part time training option also is provided.

We feel that one to one interaction between expert and student and actual  learning-working combination will create new opportunities of employment through confidence building and can promote entrepreneurship also. New startups can emerge through such groups of  people from business and learners who are dedicated to work with purpose.
