Environmental Protection Research Foundation (EPRF) was founded in 1982 with a view to assist Industries, Pollution Control Boards, Local Bodies and Government Agencies for effective implementation of Pollution Control Programs.
The EPRF is registered as a Public Trust in August, 1982 (Registration No. MAH/790/ Sangli Dt. 18/8/1982, under Societies Registration Act 1860, Reg. No F-744 Dt. 30/9/1982 under Public Trust Act 1950)
Walchand College Principal G. C. Kanitkar and Retd Chief Engineer Shri. V. H. Kelkar were our advisors and Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Vasatrao Dada Patil was the mentor and financial supporter for our research centre under the leadership of Dr. B. Subba Rao.
We conducted many national level training programs for Sugar factory technicians and chemists to teach them operation and control of waste treatment processes.
We also conducted field trips to show round nearby industries and give practical field training. Dignitories like Dr, G. D. Agrawal, Officers of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board like S. V. Patwardhan, R. G. Pethe, A. K. Mhaskar and M. V. Kulkarni participated in our training camps as speakers.
Besides seminars and training programs in Sangli, we arrange seminars at various places like Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Surat, Bangalore etc.
Later Dnyandeep Foundation established MOU with EPRF and ISEMS and started Enviroschool.org , a joint venture project for training and research.
This website is under construction and shall be portal for online education in Environmental Engineering at International level. We are planning to organise diploma and degree courses with the help of some foreign universities.
