आळस -Laziness

(माणसाच्या शरीरात आळस, कंटाळा हा अनाहूतपणे नकळत घरात घुसणाऱ्या मांजरासारखा वस्तीला आलेला असतो. त्या आळसाशी एक शब्दही न बोलता, त्याची अजिबात सरबराई न करता त्याला घरातून म्हणजे शरीरातून दूर हाकलून देण्यासाठी मनाला केलेला उपदेश आहे. आळस गेल्यावर केलेल्या प्रयत्नातूनच यशप्राप्ती होते.)
(Laziness is an uninvited guest who enters our body like a smart cat who secretly enters our house and stays there. This poem is an advice to mind for driving out laziness from body without discussing or entertaining it. Success is achieved only by doing work after laziness is gone.)

आळस	Laziness
आळस असे हा शत्रु आपुला कधी न ठाऊक येई घरी गुपचूप येई चोरपाऊली लबाड जैसी मनीमांजरी --- १	Lazyness is our enemy who enters our house secretly without our knowledge like a smart and cheater cat---1
चेहरामोहरा दिसे न याचा हातपाय ना दिसती जरी भल्याभल्यांना दावी वाकुल्या करणी याची अजब खरी --- २	We can't see its face or feet ( how it looks), but it mocks many smart and clever guys and shows its magic effect.---2
तळ ठोकुनी बसे आळस हा काही केल्या हालत नसे कळे न मजला हाकलुनी देऊ या रिपुराजा कुठे कसे --- ३	It stays in the body and does not move out, I fail to understand how and where to drive it out. ---3
आळस सोडुनी देई मना बा उद्योगाची कास धरी दोन शब्द ना बोल त्याजशी काम उद्याचे आज करी --- ४	Oh my mind! Don't argue with laziness leave it and as a true workman, start doing tomorrow's work today. ---4
पुन्हा पुन्हा रे कथिते तुजला विचार थोडा तरी करी झटकुनी देई बळेचि आळसा दिसे तेधवा खरा हरी -- ५	I tell you again and again think over it and forcefully drive laziness out Then only you can see the real God (success)---5  Note - Laziness can be replaced by lethargy  or idleness
