Green Tech 2017, Pune Seminar Report

A short duration seminar on GreenTech 2017 was arranged by Dnyandeep Foundation, Sangli  on 18 Feb. 2017 at MTE Society  campus in Pune for promoting sustainable development through education and research in Green Technology.

The seminar was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. M. G. Deomane.

Prof. Prafulla Kulkarni welcomed the delegates and explained the need of such get together of environmental engineers and green architects for collaborative effort.

Dr. S. V. Ranade informed that Dnyandeep Foundation has launched a comprehensive environmental portal website www.envis.org to provide all related knowledge resources. It would also serve as  a platform for interaction and association to develop ecofriendly technology solutions and effective project management.


Shri. Santosh Tandale described the advantages of using rooftop solar pv systems with connection to  MSEDC grid and getting reduction in electric billing by net metering.

Shri. Omkar Pethakar highlighted advantages of digital marketing and showed how it achieves goal of green  marketing by reducing energy and material consumption.

Shri. Shridhar Tandale illustrated technical journal search utility developed by Dnyandeep for Indian Water Works Association which has provided access to research and development work  done in India since last 50 years.

Prof. Tirthkar of CME, Pune explained the working of  Suspended Bed Reactor technology for sewage treatment and informed how SBR system  adopted by PCMC has reduced land requirement for treatment.

Prof. S. G. Kanitkar, Secretary of MTES explained the need of research in use of renewable energy resources and assured all help to Dnyandeep Foundation for conducting joint research and development projects  in Green Technology as well as Information Technology.

The seminar was attended by Dnyandeep Infotech team, past students of Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli and teaching staff of College of Hospital Management.
