Tributes to Data Visualisation Master Professor Rosling

A professor of global health at Sweden's Karolinska Institute, Professor Rosling has died at the age of 68.  He developed Gapminder,a  data visualization tool, which allows users to convert statistical data into easily understandable visual display.

He presented his work at TED talk show in 2006 and explained the trends in population growth, child survival rate, GDP and personal income levels in different countries.

Bill Gates paid tribute to Professor Rosling on Twitter.
"A great friend, educator and true inspiration for our work. Melinda and I are saddened by the loss of Hans Rosling," said the philanthropist, who has said one of the main reasons behind his decision to donate billions of dollars to healthcare projects in the developing world was down to a Rosling presentation on the issue.( Ref: Telegraph News /)

I give below the video of his famous speech and pay my tributes to a great personality who used his computer knowledge for creating awareness about global scenario in public health.
