Suraj Foundation’s Nav Krishna Valley School & Junior College, MIDC, Kupwad, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 15th August 2026 at the school ground.
The programme commenced with Vande Mataram, followed by flag hoisting at the hands of Dr. S. V. Ranade, the National Anthem (Rashtrageet) and patriotic songs.
The entire campus resonated with patriotic fervour as students and staff participated enthusiastically in the celebration.

Dr. S. V. Ranade, Chairman, Dnyandeep Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Sangli, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, Dr. Ranade highlighted the importance of learning and adapting to the latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Multi-Skill Development and Information Technology. He explained how technological knowledge will play an important role in students’ future education, careers and services.
Dr. Ranade also spoke about the importance of becoming self-reliant and supporting Indian businesses. He gave the example of how raw materials such as cotton are procured from India, processed abroad and then sold back in India at higher prices. He encouraged students to think innovatively, develop skills, and contribute to the country by producing, marketing and selling quality products within India.
He further emphasized the importance of English education for students’ future opportunities, professional growth and global expansion. At the same time, he advised students to remain connected with their Matru Bhasha – Marathi, reminding them that learning English should never mean forgetting their mother tongue and cultural roots.
The celebration was attended by students from Nav Krishna Valley School Marathi and English Medium, Std. I to X, along with teachers, institutional staff, parents, MIDC industrialists and Heads of Departments. Their presence added to the grandeur and success of the programme.
The programme included felicitation of the Chief Guest and his formal introduction by Mr. Prashant Chavan, Vice Principal, NKVS English Medium. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mrs. Sangeeta Pagnis, Director. The programme concluded with an Expression of Gratitude by Mr. Adhikrao Pawar, Principal, NKVS Marathi Medium.
The programme was effectively conducted by Mr. Vinayak Joshi Sir and Mr. Sushant Suryavanshi Sir.

Trustee Chairman Mr. Pravin Surajmal Lunkad and NKVS Governing Council Chairman Dr. Yashwant Toro could not attend the programme as they were out of station to attend Independence Day celebrations at NKVS Pargaon, Khandala, Shirwal and Bhor. They conveyed their warm wishes for Independence Day to all the students, staff and members of the institutions.
The celebration concluded successfully in an atmosphere of patriotism, pride and commitment towards nation-building. The inspiring message of the Chief Guest encouraged students to acquire modern skills, promote innovation and entrepreneurship, respect their mother tongue and contribute meaningfully towards the progress and development of India.
