10. Sanskritdeepika - Sanskrit Dictionary and Grammar

Dnyandeep has developed desktop as well as web based application for learning Sanskrit. Earlier software was in Visual Basic 6 with MS Access database which was later converted to interactive flash application with audio clips. The software was made  available as Sanskritdeepika CD.

The software includes complete grammar with categorised knowledge of Vibhakti, DhatuRupe, Sandhi, Samas, Synonym and antonym words, Translation of subhashitas and simple sentences serving as ready reckoner. This is very useful and a valuable guide for students for eighth to tenth standard. 

A web version of this software is already launched as www.sanskritdeepika.org.

Later all sections of this software were made available free for access on www.sanskritdeepika.org website.

Dictionaries
This is a novel software giving facility for finding equivalent words in Marathi and English for six thousand Sanskrit words. You can select any word in any of these three languages and you can get meaning of it in other two languages. You can search the words by subject category also.

All these software sections are being published as android and iOS apps for easy access.

9. Online Examination System for Latthe Polytechnic, Miraj

All educational institutes require to assess the students performance by conducting examinations periodically. As many competitive examinations are held online and as Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education decided to conduct online examination for Environmental Studies subject, Latte Polytechnic, Miraj wanted to develop  such software for training the students about working of such system.

Dnyandeep developed the software with Teacher and Student modules with secure login facility. The teacher module included setting of examination with subject, class, number of objective questions and Time allotment. Student has to login for starting examination with time monitoring.

After the examination, the combined result of all students is displayed in Teacher panel.

The software shall be enhanced to include administration of online examination system with many features of  upload and selection of questions, use of images and grading of questions.

Feel awkward to read?

But that is what we need. We have an excellent perception power to read the face by simple glance but we generally ignore it. If we  try to  see in the eyes of a person to search for the true feelings,  the chances are that your search may become a futile exercise. 

Seeing is an intentional activity.  If the person concerned notices that you are trying to probe into his inner feelings, he generally  hides his feelings in defensive mood as soon as  he becomes conscious of our search.

But noting a casual glance is more effective in understanding like  listening to a sound. Listening is natural and grasping sensation without any feedback or response.  It lingers in the mind.

When I say, ‘Listen to the eyes’ I mean to say that don’t ignore casual face reading,  but preserve it in your memory attentively like a whispering sound in the background. 

You can ponder over it at any time in future and you will find the undisclosed treasure of feelings contained in that otherwise casual glance which you can relate to behaviour or pattern of response.

Once you master in this art, you can become mind reader and respond accordingly.

8. Bales Order and Supply Management for Jubilee Textiles

Jubilee Textile Mills, Madhavnagar has textile manufacturing units and has a wide network of sales brokers in different towns who place the orders for different types of cloth bales based on requirement of local parties.  After getting the orders, Jubilee Textile Mills office communicates with the process units and arranges supply of the bales to brokers.

As there are many varieties of cloth and the prices change with time, the management thought of developing online order collection and supply system.

Dnyandeep  developed the web application to suit the requirements with Administrator and Broker sections through secure login.

Administrator can add new brokers, view the orders,  communicate the price change if any, stock availability, supply schedule and transportation details.

Each broker has separate login panel and he can add local parties and send the compiled order to Jubilee Textiles with details of cloth types and number of bales.

The web application would be installed on the firms website which is in design state.

Applications - The software can be easily modified and customised for any goods distribution system involving dealers located at various places.

7. Software for Child Labour Survey - S.E.D.T., Kerwadi.

Government has enacted law to prohibit child labour, however it is observed that many children are still being forced to leave education and engage in jobs of heavy labour work and even in hazardous environments.

SEDT, a social organisation in Parbhani did survey of child labour and a software was developed by Dnyandeep to analyse the data.

The results revealed large anomaly in Govt figures and actual number of children engaged in child labour. The report was submitted in the District Collectors Conference in Aurangabad.

6. Software for Village Information System - S.E.D.T., Kerwadi.

Software was  developed by Dnyandeep for Central Govt rural survey project undertaken by a Social organisation SEDT, Parbhani. 

Village Information System software was  developed  to collect all relevant data from the village as regards income, land holding, employment, education, health, standard of living, earlier utilisation of development funds up to family level. 

Development plans often do not yield desired results due to insufficient information about the present situation and real requirements of villages. Development planning and allocation of funds at District level by governmental and semi-government agencies depends to a large extent on the socio-political leadership instead of need based priority. 

The project was implemented for Kerwadi village and the data was analysed for assessing needs of development.

Salient  features of software were:

• Exhaustive data from each family in village was collected and analysed for various purposes with statistical inferences, charts and graphs.
• Software gave choice and complete flexibility to the user in designing and extracting reports as per requirement.
• Provision was made to summarise the reports at Taluka and District levels.

The report of survey was presented in District Collectors conference in Aurangabad.

5. Inventory and Accounts of Universal Controls, Sangli

UNIVERSAL CONTROLS is a registered small scale unit  in Vasantdada Industrial Estate at Sangli, for manufacturing products related to agriculture which will help farmers.  These include Three Phase Auto Switch, Starter, Digital Timers, Single Phase Submersible Panel, Three Phase Control Panel, Water Level Controller, Run Capacitors, Start Capacitors, Unicon U. P. S. Inverter, Electronics Weighing Scale etc.

The software was developed to cover purchase of raw materials, sale of products , stock inventory,  and financial accounts of the factory

 A) Purchase of raw materials –  This included database operations for Purchase parties, Raw material categories, Raw items specifications, Raw item Stock register, outward raw material registers

 B)Stock Inventory

Stock of Raw Materials,  Items locked up in production stage, Stock of products for sale

C) Sale of Products– This included database operations for Sale parties, Product categories, Product items specification, Product Stock Register    

   Provision was made to  display  list of customers ( material suppliers, and sale parties), to add new customers or modify the list.

Transactions of purchase and sale were recorded from payment and receipt vouchers.

Payment vouchers –

a) Entries of cash/bank payments for purchases

b) Entries for other expenses by cash/bank 

Receipt vouchers –

Entries for sales by cash/bank 

Entries for other income by cash/bank

Books of account – Facility was provided to display and print Daybook, Ledger Book, Cash and Bank books, Income & Expenditure, Profit &  Loss Statements

Reports – Various reports are generated to view Ledger statement, Trial Balance, Balance sheet, Stock inventory for any time period.

The software was operated and updated for two years with backup, carryover of accounts and stock .

4. Classification and compilation of  songs and calls of birds in India

Mr Sharad Apte, an ornithologist from Sangli  has recorded songs and calls of over 300 types of birds with sophisticated equipments at tramping forests, mountains, rivers and lakes across the country.



He has spent 20 years of leisure time and resources studying birds and bird songs and has spent almost 10 years recording them.

A dynamic interactive web application ( http://birdcalls.info) was developed for displaying images of these birds with audio clips based on the search of species, family and ZooName. Bird’s song and call are roughly classified; by their purpose; such as breeding songs and calls, alarm call, rising and retiring call as well as calls for communications etc.

There is backend section for administrator with secure login to facilitate addition of new information like new bird species, upload high definition images  and sound files, organise bird watching tours and workshops.

3. Online Appointment System

This is web based software system to assist scheduling appointments and its administration. This is general appointment system that can be tailored for specific use-case. 

The applications include Medical Practitioners, Polyclinics, Lawyers, College Principal, Company Chairman, Company Personnel, Builders, Engineers and Architects, VIPs like City Mayor, Collector, Police department officers  etc. It has well designed system for end-users and administration alike.

The general work-flow of this appointment system is depicted below:

There are 2 types of accesses to this system. First is front-end and the other is back-end. Front-end of the system is meant to serve the end user. Back-end is meant to serve administration of the system.

Taxonomy:

Visitor: This is the person for whom appointment can be booked.

A visitor is end user against whom an appointment is actually reserved. System has 2 ways to accept visitor registration. A member can register a visitor under his member account. Otherwise, a visitor himself can book an appointment without membership registration. 

Member: This is member of the system who needs to log in to access services. 

A member can create multiple visitors in his account. Being a member facilitates the member few advantages over anonymous appointment reservation. It saves his efforts by storing his visitor's information and allows the member to reuse it whenever he needs to book an appointment against specific visitor.

Human resource: This is the resource who provides appointments for available services.

The system provides many interactive and secure ways to manage appointments, Date and Time scheduling for visits, Online payment facility for collection visit fee and various types of reports.

The software has been implemented for Anuradha Eye Clinic in Sangli.

2. Management of Artificial Insemination  of Cattle for Veterinary Doctors. 

 The private and cooperative dairies   employ many veterinary doctors for providing necessary medicines and heath advice to  farmers and villagers who have cattle (cows and buffalos) and supply milk to dairies. There are many private veterinary doctors who also give health service to cattle owners.

Breeding of cattle with high milk yield is achieved by artificial insemination. The sperm banks provide  sperm vials with different brand names for this purpose. Insemination of cattle is done at appropriate heath condition of cattle and regular monitoring is required during pregnancy period

Veterinary doctors have to visit farmers in villages and provide such service with advice to farmers about fodder and medicines from time to time basis to keep the cattle and their offsprings healthy.

It becomes very difficult for doctors to keep track of the health conditions of cattle and provide proper advice at proper time. The oral communication during visit also needed to be stored for back reference.

Dnyandeep has developed a software to assist such veterinary doctors for this purpose. Farmer, Cattle, Sperm and Medicine database management and chronological record of visits and medicines can be maintained with facility of generating various reports.

The software has great marketing potential if suitable web application is developed for dairies and individual veterinary doctors.

1. Water Tank Cleaning Service

Regular manual cleaning of overhead Water storage tanks has become a necessity for apartments in cities, where the water supply is intermittent and water pressure is low. Considering the difficulty in getting required technical know-how and personnel for cleaning, Gogate firm in Sangli had started such service on annual subscription basis.

Trained persons equipped with cleaning chemical and necessary other appliances and safety dress would visit the client site on predetermined dates and do cleaning. Calendar based service scheduling with prior intimation, allocation of workers based on quantum of work and grouping based on location, tracking the client payment system, management of inventory and worker salary were the additional tasks.

• Customer - Name, address, Phone, Locality
• Water Tank - Number of tanks, material of construction and their capacities,Frequency of Cleaning, 
• Workers - Name, address, phone
• Chemicals - Specification, quantity, inventory reports
• Payment receipts, Worker payements, 
• Equipment and safety devices - like ladders, Brushes and brooms, rubber gloves, Gum boots, buckets, flexible pipes and portable pump

Dnyandeep had developed such a system as desktop application.

The system included customer,  worker database tables, chemical inventory and accounts.

 Applications - The software can be used to variety of regular maintenance services like, house cleaning, painting, grass cutting, pumps and machinery routine checkup, septic tank cleaning etc with necessary customisation.

Dnyandeep is happy to announce the launching of Online Sanskrit Subhashitani, an android app version.
Similar app on iOS is already published by Dnyandeep.

Excellent online collection of Sanskrit Subhashitani (shlokas) with English and Marathi translation and transliteration along with Sanskrit audio clips (mp3) for learning pronunciation. The audio clips are in voice of Late Mrs. Shubhangi Ranade.

Salient Features

• The app helps you recite the shlokas by playing audio clips repeatedly. 
• Shlokas can be bookmarked and shared. 
• Bookmarked shlokas can be displayed and played in sequence. 
• The shlokas can be shuffled or selected/searched from index list.

The app is based on website www.sanskritdeepika.org, a comprehensive portal for Sanskrit learning.
