Shubhangi had great love for nature. She was very particular in maintenance of garden and developed it with flower plants like Jaswand, Mogara, Parijat, Jai, Jui, Gulbakshi, Kunda, seasonal May flower, Brhmakamal and many more.
She expressed her feelings about flowers, garden and nature in number of poems out of which "Kalya naka todu" show her tenderness towards budding flowers.
We were fortunate to have large space for planting fruit trees in our garden at Dnyandeep. We already had planted Jack fruit, Mango, Seetaphal and Coconut trees almost 30 years back and they are fully grown giving fruits in abundance. One small plant of Mosambi brought by her mother also had grown to a full hight tree. Shubhangi took pleasure in distributing these fruits to neighbours and relatives. We used to send photos of mangoes and jackfruits to Sumedha and Sushant.
She had emotional attachment to dog and cat and treated them with food and milk. Early morning they used to come to our kitchen side door listening to door opening sound.
As our garden is full of many trees, many different types of birds come regularly in search of food. Shubhangi was fond of birds and recognised them from sound. She learned more about birds from our family friend Shri. Yadav and famous bird lover Shri. Sharad Apte ( Dnyandeep has designed his website birdcalls.info). She wrote an article on birds as निसर्गदूत - पक्षी which was published in Aabhalmaya and www.mysangli.com.
