Anusha in wonderland Part - 17

Anusha  had learned good manners from her Mom and wanted to teach the same to students of her magic math school.  She had already asked point children to sit properly in the classroom. But she saw that line girls were sitting in the class without any order.

She classified all line girls in various categories and gave them instructions to sit accordingly. Now line girl class had separate rows for horizontal lines(H), vertical lines(V), slant lines(Left - SL, Right- SR) and curved lines(C).

Anusha liked horizontal and vertical lines because they were straight, easy to measure and had  uniform discipline. All such lines were parallel to each other in their group.

She knew that horizontal lines and vertical lines make rectangles. Dad had shown her graph paper which was constructed with many horizontal and vertical lines. He had also told her that we can locate any point based on distance  from main horizontal and vertical lines also called as x axis and y axis.

It was not the case for slant lines. The lines were having different tilting from vertical or horizontal lines. She had learned from her dad that this tilting can be measured as angle. This angle is measured as clockwise or anticlockwise. Slant lines can be parallel if they have tilted through same angle.

Straight lines were disciplined and had strict rules to follow. Curved lines did not follow any rule. Hence Anusha kept them as back benchers.  Though the curved lines were untidy.

Anusha liked one thing about them. They all were very creative. They formed many shapes which were impossible for straight lines. She compared them with the scientists and artists who were mainly back benchers, who revolted against established rules.
