Anusha in wonderland Part -16

 Anusha liked playing with her younger sister Asmi who was a little baby girl two months old. Asmi was now learning to recognize the people in the house by their faces and voice. She could recognise Anusha and responded to Anusha’s actions. Anusha now understood what Aaba was telling.  She knew that Asmi likes toys which make noise. It must be easy for her to remember the toy. She  decided to teach Asmi  to recognize doll and other toys.
  
She would hold the toy in front of Asmi and call by its name. “ This is Barbie”. “ This is Baloon”  “ This is Micky Mouse” 

She felt  Asmi was very much interested in seeing new things and was responding through her eyes.

It was the time for Anusha to attend magic math school. Anusha put on her special dress suitable for her principal’s post. She was about to leave the house when she heard a voice calling her.

 “Tai, I want to come with you”

She turned back. What she saw was simply  unbelievable. Asmi was trying to stand up from her bed and calling her. Anusha ran to her sat down and laid her back in the bed. She said. “You are too young. You should not stand up. I am surprised. How you can talk?”

Asmi said “ I remember  all you have taught me. I also saw you walking and dancing. I practice speaking and standing up like you  in my dream, but still I am not able to train my mouth and body to do accordingly.”

 Anusha said “ Now I understand, why you are  moving your hands and feet whole day. But how come you know speaking? ” 

Asmi said “ I was able to hear every noise right from my birth, even if I did not understand anything. After birth, when I opened my eyes there was glaring light. I was afraid and started crying.   Now I  have trained my eyes to see you all and follow your actions. I could remember your voice and face. Slowly now I am able to remember every thing I could see and link it with sound it makes. “

“ But how you know what we talk? We talk in Marathi and also in English? You don’t know these languages.”

Asmi said ” I try to follow the meaning of what you talk by seeing your expressions, actions and voice.”

Asmi further told “ I meet you all in my dream and for me, dream and real life are one and same thing. Only when I am awake, I cannot repeat the sounds to speak out through my mouth  and my body is ignorant about how to stand up  and walk”

Anusha though in dream was cautious about Asmi. She did not want her to confuse more with math school.

She told Asmi “ You seem to be very clever girl. You will definitely learn speaking and standing up soon.  But now I think you should go to sleep. I will also cancel my school visit. We shall both sleep together  and play in the daytime. I shall show you my painting of our magic math school."

 Asmi agreed and both slept happily with feeling of new friendship and secret understanding.

Ojas in wonderland of science Part - 7

Before going to explore molecule building process, Ojas thought of fighting with false advertisers, who were stealing electrons from ignorant energy mothers of atoms.  He remembered the false promises in the advertisements.

1.  “Welcome new atoms. There is a best  food for you. We can increase your weight .”
2. “ Touch stone parlor. We can change iron atoms to  gold atoms.”
3. “ Make your atoms smart by using our magic mantra’

 He prepared himself with necessary scientific information for fighting such false propaganda.

 When he reached the magic science school, he expressed his desire on the tab that he wishes to expose the false propaganda of the advertisers. There was a reply from school management.  “ Please be careful. If advertisers realize that they are unable to prove their claims, they may use some dirty techniques to drive you out.”

Ojas asked “ They are just molecules? What they can do to me?”

 The reply came “ No. Don’t take them lightly. They are agents of some religious miracle makers. Unfortunately, your login information has got leaked  and they know your religion. They may send some Villain characters from religious stories you have read  to frighten you. “

 Ojas replied “ I am brave. I can fight with them. I am Karate expert. I also have a new sword recently purchased”

 There was a reply “ Oh ! Good. However your karate belt and sword are left  back in your real life.  Ofcourse, you can generate them in this dream world, if you remember them any time. ”

 They gave him a special goggle to view the inner mechanisms of machines used by those advertisers.

 Ojas advanced to shop claiming weight increase for atoms  He knew that weight of any material on moon surface is less than weight measured on earth surface  and the reason was less gravitational force of moon .

As expected they were playing the same  gimmick with atoms. They were artificially increasing gravity force on atom by concentrating strong magnetic field so that atoms felt themselves heavier. He switched off the magnetic field enhancer.  Now there was no change in weight.  Disillusioned energy mothers waiting for the service left the shop. The advertiser molecules got suspicious of Ojas and followed him in secrecy.

With same vigor he progressed to second shop.  There were some gold atoms put on the show for attracting iron atoms.  There were also photos of King Midas and shining touchstone.  He knew that iron atoms due to black color absorb all light waves. He saw that there was a mechanism of creating artificial electron shield around the iron atom to reflect yellow light, which made them appear yellow instead of their black color.

In the third shop, there was some audio clip of magic mantra which was creating ultrasonic sound waves causing heating and vibration of atoms giving them the feeling of smartness.

He explained the tricks being followed by them and asked school management to close all the shops with security robots. As he gave these instructions on tab, the spy molecules sent alarm signal to their head quarters.

Suddenly there was  loud noise in the environment and a big monster attacked Ojas from nowhere. He resembled monsters attacking Ram and Krishna in religious stories.  His Karate skill helped him at this juncture.  He jumped up sideways swiftly and escaped the capture. He remembered his sword.  In a fraction of moment, he was with shining new sword in his hand. He raised his hand and hit the monster fiercely with his sword.  Wounded monster ran back promising never to come back.  Ojas teared off the advertisement boards with his sword.

He asked school management to put up board with following facts to prevent such attempts by so called miracle makers.

Don’t get deceived by false promises.
 Please remember  that -

1.     Atomic weight depends on the number of protons and neutrons present in the nucleus of atom and for every element it is fixed. 

2.    Iron ( Fe) has 26 protons and 30 neutrons and its atomic weight is 56. Gold ( Au) has protons 79 and neutrons 118 and has atomic weight of 197. Hence iron atom cannot be changed to gold atom by touchstone.

3.    Increased vibration due to rise in temperature is temporary and does not change property of atom.

The school management thanked Ojas for destroying false miracle makers and  presented him a picture album of their science school which included heroic fight of Ojas with Monster sent by false miracle makers.

Anusha in wonderland Part - 15

With the success of Christmas show, Anusha  was happy with performance of magic math school children in forming any shape and developing the entire scene. She assigned the job of creating show for New Year celebration.

 She also trained line children to compose numbers and letters. Both straight lines and curved lines had to work together  for this work. Only for composing  i and j small letters,  they had to take help of point.
 She had a serious doubt now. If numbers and letters require use of lines and points, they must be present before the birth of numbers and letters. But she had learned  numbers and words by listening to specific sounds. Then who is elder to whom?

When she  asked Ojas about her doubt. He was also not knowing the answer. He said “ We shall ask our grandfather to explain this riddle.”  Anusha’s dad was happy that both Ojas and Anusha are taking interest in science and maths and liked idea of Ojas. As their grandfather was in India, he contacted him on skype and asked him to clear doubts of Anusha.

Anusha told him about the magic math school and how she could construct numbers and letters with points and lines. She asked. “ Aaba ( Shortform she used to call ‘Aajoba’ in Marathi), who were born first? Points and lines or Numbers and Letters?”

 Her grandfather was very happy that she got this doubt. He said "You are very clever girl to get such doubt. Nobody had asked me this question up till now. The answer is that man sensed objects in the environment through his senses like eyes, ears, nose, toung and skin and gave some names for storing them in memory. At that time man was using only different sounds for these names.

Numbers  were invented later to count these objects and language with letters and numbers came much later.  The language was not sufficient to explain the objects in nature . Hence the points, lines and other shapes were invented by scientists and mathematicians. 

 In nature there are no  points. How they can exist if points do not have any measurable size. Lines are composed of points and shapes are composed of lines. Hence all these are only tools developed by man for measuring and defining shape of natural objects.”

Most of the explanation given by grandfather was beyond grasping capacity of Anusha and Ojas.  But Anusha said “ I think that everything must be originated in dream like my magic math school”

“ Right. Do you know ? Almost all inventions have stories related to dreams of scientists ?”

“ Is it so? “ Ojas said “ Then we both are scientists.”

“ Yes sure. You will be great scientists if you can dream such things. But for that you have to study the subject by heart and keep thinking about it all the time. ”  Grandfather replied.

He said he wishes to join their dream sometime in future. Both Ojas and Anusha invited him to visit their magic schools.

 Grandfather said “ For that I must study a lot like you.”

Anusha in wonderland Part - 14

Christmas day coincided with second month birthday of Anusha’s younger sister Asmi. There was a grand birth day celebration in the house for Asmi. Anusha asked her dad, why they don’t celebrated her monthly birthday. Dad laughed. He said, “ When you were small like Asmi, we also were celebrating your birthday every month for whole one year. Anusha calculated “ That means 12 birthday celebrations in one year. “ The thought of so many celebrations made Anusha very happy and thought if she could become again small and young like Asmi to enjoy such celebrations.

 When she told her wish to Ojas said, “You can become young again by using Time machine”
 “ What is time machine?”
 Ojas told that he had read a story of time machine which can take us back in time, however, nobody has yet invented such a machine. Anusha thought she should invent such a machine. .
The thought lingered in her mind, when she   entered the magic math school. The line girls were busy in learning dance positions. Two line girls were doing poll acrobatics. One line stood up like poll and other line tried to balance itself on the tip of the poll.  It was a difficult task. Anusha took a measuring scale. Measured length of that line and marked midpoint. She told that line to keep that mid point on the top of poll girl.  With support from other line girls she could balance herself on the poll. Every body clapped in joy.

Anusha told her to turn horizontally keeping the balance.  That line girl slowly turned herself. Anusha saw that now the line girls length reduced. She asked her to turn more.

When she turned through right angle,  her length reduced to a point. That line girl got converted into single point. Anusha thought it is like going back in life from Line to Point.  She had found new version of time machine.

 She thought if line can become point, why not higher class children become line. But they can't be put on poll to balance. It is not possible unless their inner body is filled up.

 She called one triangle, one quadrangle and one circle and asked them to stand up in line.  Then she asked them to turn horizontally. When they turned through right angle they became vertical lines.


Anusha  has invented new method of transforming line to point and other shapes to line.

 She was eager to tell about her new invention to Ojas. Hence she returned back to sleep hurriedly.

Anusha in wonderland Part - 13

Magic Math School celebrates Christmas.

Christmas vacation has started. Anusha wanted to celebrate Christmas by decorating the magic math school  with the help of school children. She prepared a painting of the school and  showed pictures of Christmas tree  and snowman to the children and asked them to decorate the school for Christmas celebration.

The quadrangle class was assigned to prepare school building. Triangles and lines were given job of preparing Christmas trees. Points were asked to act as falling snow, do lighting with the help of line girls and prepare snowman.

All children were so glad and excited that they immediately started various combinations of lines, triangles and points. Anusha advised them to choose appropriate colors, told to use star like blinking for light points.

She put up signboard for school  and Merry Christmas message with her beautiful handwriting. She added tree and decorated the structures composed by points, lines, circles and rectangles.

Finally Anusha and her school children could succeed in creating spectacular show for Christmas Celebration.

Anusha in wonderland Part - 12

With visits to magic math school, Anusha’s drawing improved a lot. She prepared a beautiful painting of starry sky with white points on dark paper.


Now she could use points and lines to draw many objects. She liked to play and was expert in dance. She thought that she should teach point and line children to play and dance with different positions.

She showed by drawing on blackboard how they can play    SEE – Saw and Swing together. Points and lines have now become good friends and liked the idea.

 She also told lines about dance performances she has done and told them  be creative in forming different dance poses.  Lines were very enthusiastic. They prepared many beautiful dance patterns.


 Anusha wanted to  see the colored dresses of higher class children. When she saw their dresses, she was very happy. Every shape had put on new colorful dresses.

Some shapes had used colors only for their sides  and they were open frames without body. While others had put on color dress on their body also.
 
 She now understood that such shapes have two parts Sides and Area enclosed by sides. This was a new knowledge for Anusha. She thanked shapes for that.

Ojas in wonderland of science Part -6



When Ojas told Ketan about the teaching lessons given to atoms in the magic science school, Ketan got really interested in the story. He said “ Oh! It makes some sense. We find many gas atoms like oxygen, nitrogen as molecules of two atoms. But iron and manganese can remain as separate atoms but united together.”

 Ojas asked “ Why they can’t move away from each other?” 

Ketan  told Ojas “Actually there is attraction between any two materials with mass. If they are nearer the force of attraction is more.So atoms remain together by such attraction. It is the same gravitational force that keeps them together.”

Ketan said to Ojas,” I think, I should also visit your science magic school. I am interested to find out about origin of atoms from energy.”

 Ojas was very glad. He said “ You are most welcome. I shall call  you in my dream. But you should also dream like me about the magic science school.” Ketan said, “ I shall try “.

Ofcourse Ketan forgot the conversation and was busy in reading some other books.

 In the dream, when Ojas called Ketan, he could not find Ketan. Ojas decided to go alone. He wanted to visit middle school where atoms are taught how to form molecules. 

 He went to the other building. He saw that atoms were asked to use their electrons for combining with other atoms in a different ways. There were mainly three types.

 Some atoms were asked to donate their electron or electrons to other atoms who are in need of electrons. Donation of electron made them positively charged, whereas the atoms receiving extra electrons from others became negatively charged. Naturally there was attraction between them.

He saw how Sodium and Chlorine did this. As soon as they combined the lost their original properties and became a new compound with different properties. 

He typed on the tab. “ What is this?” Tab answered “ It is common salt.” Ojas  typed “ What is the name for this type of bond?” Tab answered “ It is called as ionic bond. This allows them to move separately in water solution carrying electric charge. They are called as cations and anions. ” Ojas said “ Oh. I know now. These ions help in producing electricity in battery”

There was other type of molecule making that ojas observed. In this the atoms were asked to share their  electrons with others. The shared electrons made rounds of both the atoms and kept them neutral.
Ojas liked the idea of sharing rather giving it altogether. When you share something with others that friendship becomes more strong and everlasting. Tab gave information that these are called Covalent bonds.

 Ojas asked tab “ Can you give some example? “

Tab said “ Why not? Look at the hydrogen and oxygen atoms. Two hydrogen atoms are sharing their single electrons with oxygen who needs two electrons to fill up its outer orbit. And due to such sharing water molecule is formed.”


When Ojas was seeing formation of water molecules, he noticed a peculiar thing. These water molecules were turning and rearranging themselves such that hydrogen atom of one molecule becomes nearer to oxygen atom of othe water molecule. Ojas asked tab about such strange behavior of molecules.

 Tab answer flashed on the screen “ This molecule though neutral still has minute +ve charge near hydrogen atom and –ve charge near oxygen atom. The attraction between +ve and –ve charges of water molecules causes such rearrangement. The bond between H and O is very weak and is called Hydrogen bond. It can be broken by increased vibration of atoms due to temperature rise.“


Ojas said “ Oh! Now I understood. Ionic and covalent bonds are the main bonds and hydrogen bond is not of any importance” Tab said. “ What you say is right for inorganic compounds but these hydrogen bonds are very important in building large organic molecules”

Ojas asked “ Is it so?”

 Tab said “ Yes. This molecule building is not taught in the this middle school. For such synthesis they require special environment. Hence this part is taught in college of biochemistry. We send water and carbon di oxide molecules and some other bright atoms like nitrogen, sulpher and phospherous to that college which is in the science city.”

Ojas was satisfied. He learned a lot of chemistry about inorganic molecules.

Ojas in wonderland of science Part- 5

As usual Ojas told Ketan about his visit to magic science school and how he saw inventor of periodic table as president of  school management . Ketan was amused.  He told “Do you know. Mendeleev  died in 1907 i.e. more than 100 years back.  By the way, what they were teaching to atoms?  “
 Ojas said “ They didn’t tell me”
 Ketan said teasingly “ See. They are clever than you. They got all information from you but did not give any information to you.”
 Ojas accepted his mistake in not insisting on this matter.  He asked Ketan “ can you tell what that teaching might be?” Ketan said. “It is all humbug. Any way, Its  your dream. You find the answer from them”
Ojas then asked Ketan all other questions about the dream world. Ketan said “ How I can know about your dream?”
 Ojas was not satisfied. He asked his teacher. Teacher also listened to his dream and told “Don’t think more.  It is only your imagination.”
Ojas asked her mother the same questions. Mother advised him to ask these questions to grandfather with whom he was doing space trips.
Ojas liked the idea.
 He sent mail to grandfather in India about the dream and asked to find answers to his questions.
His grandfather was doing research on consciousness , subconsciousness and its relation to dream. He sent reply that he is happy to get important clues from magic school experience of Ojas. He assured to investigate and find answers to his questions.
Ojas when reached the science magic school, he decided to get information about teaching given to atoms. However, he had already left management office. He got an idea. Why not search on his reasoning machine. He typed “ Content of teaching material for atoms” in search box.
 Alert box popped up on screen saying.” Classified information. Login with your account”
 Ojas replied “ I am only 10 years old. I am not allowed to open account in our country. I also don’t know how to open account.What to do?”
 The reply was there. “ As you are our special guest we are allowing you to register. Please fill following form”
Name
Icard number
Religion
Password
Confirm password
Ojas could not understand why religion was asked. But he filled the form and submitted. In a moment, he was allowed to login by using Icard number and password.
 Tab screen lit up with Science school heading and Welcome Ojas message. There was a search box. Ojas typed “ Content of teaching material for atoms” in search box.
 Answer screen flashed
Lesson One –History - Inform atoms about their origin, composition, name and size
Lesson Two – Boost their moral by telling that they have huge potential of energy stored in their body and their role is to build the material universe.
Lesson Three – Remove any prejudice that they are born due to action of some supernatural power or God.
Lesson Four – Safety -  They should make friendship by sharing or give and take of electrons to remain as stable compounds to prevent attack of cosmic rays. Metallic and nonmetallic elements can remain as clusters without combining with each other.
Lesson Five – They should resist excitation of their electrons to prevent loss of them.
Lesson Six – They may get electrically charged if they get or loose their electrons.
Lesson Seven – They should accept instructions given by middle school teachers in selecting their partners.
Ojas was happy. Now he can tell Ketan that he knows what atoms learn in this school.
One thing was not clear. “ Why they have asked my religion?”
He got the answer by himself. “May be  that science does not want  religious beliefs.”
 He typed on tab “ I am proud of all our heroes in Hindu religion. But I don’t believe in  their miracles”
He thought of the sword he purchased recently and conceded  that he likes their fights with demons.

Anusha in wonderland Part - 11

In the night after dinner, Anusha’s dad asked her to come for a walk. Anusha was pleased and got ready.  It was cold outside, hence she put on sweater and tied muffler to head.

 When they were out of the door, she understood why her dad had asked her to accompany. It was a moonless night. There were thousands of stars in the black sky above. The stars were blinking. After some walk they sat in the garden. Anusha started staring the sky. It was marvelous scene. The stars were scattered every where in the sky. Some stars were bright some were faint.  While looking at the sky, a thought came to her mind. She thought, her point children in magic school are just like these stars.

 “ Dad, what are these stars?”

Dad told “ All these tiny stars you see in the sky are really very big in size, even bigger than our sun. But as they are at a very far away distance from our earth, we see them as small points.

 If you see the night sky frequently for many days you will find that they have moved a little bit from their position each time. But this movement is same for all stars. So you will see same distance between different stars.”

 Anusha  tried to imagine the far away stars and how they are just points in the sky. She could not understand why they should so small.

Looking at confused expression on face of Anusha,  dad explained “ When you draw apple tree on paper, how you show apples on the tree. By small circles isn’t it? Noe if you draw garden of many small apple trees on the same size paper, how will you show apples on all those trees? By just small points. Correct? “ “Yes.” Anusha replied.

Dad said “ Similarly , when we are far away,  we see these giant stars as points.”

 Now Anusha understood  the reason of little stars in the sky.

After strolling for some time they returned home.

 When Anusha went to magic math school, she told her experience of starry night to point children and said that they were stars. The children were happy. Anusha thought that she learned this new knowledge by going out so why not take point children to some outside trip. When she announced this in the classroom, all children started dancing merrily. She ordered a tourist bus and they went to nearby sea shore.

 On the sea shore,  all point children were pleased to see the sea waves. They played in the sand on the shore. Anusha sat nearby looking at their play. She observed that all seashore was full of fine white sand.  She took some sand in her hand and poured it back. While looking at it,  she felt that all the sand particles are like point children.

The thought was like a lightening in her mind. She now realized that small solid particles also can be considered as points, just like stars in the sky.

The bright light fell on her eyes. Her mom had put on light bulb and was calling her to wake up.

Ojas in wonderland of science Part -4

 When Ojas returned back in dream, he saw that a green colored car was waiting for him. It was driverless car running at the instructions of remotely managed messages. It was run on electricity. As Ojas got seated in the car. Car door closed in a snapshot and car sped on spiral pathway towards top of the dome.

The car stopped before a dark glass paneled building. When Ojas came out, there was a robot guard who led him to the main conference room of the school. He was asked to remove his special suit in dressing room. Now Ojas felt very comfortable. 

As he entered the hall, all robot teachers with human faces stood up and greeted Ojas. At the other end of the table, on the president’s seat, he saw a familiar face.

 Ojas could not believe his eyes. He said “ Oh! You are the inventor of periodic table. Dmitri Mendeleev  from Russia. Right?  How come you are here still?”

Mendeleev answered “ Yes. I am the same person. But remember. This is dream world.  I am visible to you only in your dream. I am president of the science elementary school.”

He welcomed Ojas and addressed the meeting.

“ Let us welcome young scientist Ojas, who has come to help us in solving our problems. As you know, we are patiently waiting for young scientists, who come in search of this school for getting new knowledge from them . But now a days we find that  most of the children go in their dream to gardens, hotels, sight seeing tours or  just play with their friends.  I myself was greatly benefited by my dream. We are glad that Ojas has come to our school with intention of searching science school.”

He instructed his assistant to give a small presentation about the school and what they teach to atoms.
It showed the famous quotation from Principles of Chemistry, the book written by Mendeleev.

"I saw in a dream, a table where all elements fell into place as required. Awakening, I immediately wrote it down on a piece of paper, only in one place did a correction later seem necessary."

They also explained how Mendeleev found that the chemical properties of elements are a function of their atomic weights in a periodic way just as Sanskrit scholar Panini found patterns phonological sounds with language of articulation system”

Ojas could not follow Sanskrit reference and decided to ask his grandmother about it.

Ojas found that they were knowing only first 98 elements that exist naturally and were not knowing the latest discoveries.

After the presentation,  president requested Ojas to tell about new developments in science of elements.
Ojas was ready. He asked them to access his flash drive and showed  latest chart of periodic table.





 He explained about new synthesized elements from 99 to 118 and gave information about new research on electron orbits and energy levels.

 He also informed them that the solid part of the Earth is made up of the core, the mantle and the crust  and  is primarily composed of only four elements i.e.  iron, oxygen, silicon and magnesium. These elements make up more than 90 percent of the Earth's mass. In the biosphere most important elements are Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Calcium and Potassium.

 He suggested that if  they don’t have enough teaching resources they can concentrate on  teaching these elements instead of teaching everything to everybody. “

All members were greatly impressed. They updated their knowledge store with reference material given by Ojas.

The president Mendeleev thanked Ojas and assured him that he will update their teaching lessons by enhancing their software and  there is no need of Ojas to teach anything special. He however requested him to bring such new information whenever he visits their school.

 Ojas left the hall and expressed his wish to go back to real world.

The arrangement was done instantly and his back journey started. There were so many new questions in the mind of Ojas along the way.
 “ What is this dream world?
Who are the robots?
Who build the school?
What is there in science city?
 What are other things in this world?”
 These questions created a brain storm in his mind and as a result he woke up.

Ojas in wonderland of science Part -3

 In the morning after tea, Ojas told his brother Ketan  about his experience in the magic science school Ketan listened attentively. Ojas was describing the scenes in so much details and actions that Ketan could visualize the entire episode. He was proud of Ojas, who promised to help in teaching and solving problems faced by magic science school. 

He told that “Ojas don’t teach them everything you have read in books. 
The atoms have no thinking power or memory. Only tell them their names and how they are different from each other.”

 Ojas argued “ How I can remember all names and their composition?”  Ketan joked “ You can take science e-book on a flash drive with you.”

 Even though Ketan had told jokingly, Ojas took the  advice seriously. He thought over.  He liked the idea. He could plugin the flash drive in the reasoning machine and refer the periodic table any time. During the day time he searched the net and prepared an ebook with all details about elements and periodic table and saved it on a small flash drive.

 At night after dinner, he took the flash drive and attached it his wrist by cello tape and went to bed.
 He saw himself now directly at a place in magic school from where he had come back with his special suit on and reasoning tab in his hand. As expected, he could feel presence of flash drive on his wrist. He wanted to take it out and tried to open the fold of suit fabric on his hand by using other hand. Suddenly there was alarm siren from his tab. “ Don’t open the suit sleeve. You may be exposed to deadly magnetic field” Ojas stopped. He was disappointed. Now he cannot use flash drive.

 However, there was message on tab. “New memory device detected.  Is it safe to open it.” With two buttons “OK” and “Cancel”.

Ojas was surprised. He knew about Bluetooth facility but this was still different.   He pressed OK button. The content folders on his flash drive were displayed on the tab screen. Now Ojas felt relaxed and went to see school admission process.

Tab informed that he should select the appropriate  goggle to see atom particles. He changed his glasses accordingly. He now could see that there was a reception chamber where energy mothers were leaving their atoms and returning back.  The atoms were constantly moving randomly have made chaotic crowd in the chamber.  There were thousands of nano tubes attached to the reception chamber through which the atoms were taken to inside hall.

Ojas entered the hall observation gallery. He could see that each atom underwent testing of their proton, neutron and electron count with electromagnetic  devices and the values were getting displayed on the central screen in a tabular form. Specific Name labels generated based on test values were being attached to atoms and atoms were led to real classroom.

The classroom was a special chamber  with super cooling devices to keep the temperature to -273 degrees centigrade.

 Ojas was surprised. He asked on tab. “ Why so low temperature for classroom?” The answer flashed on screen “ Atoms are  constantly motion and their movement decreases as temperature is lowered. At -273 degrees centigrade they remain staitionary.  You will agree that it is  necessary for the lecture room.
Ojas was satisfied but asked “How one can teach atoms in such a chamber”

 Tab replied “ We convert teaching lessons in form of small energy packets and bombard them on atoms at high velocity.”

It was difficult for Ojas to grasp this new knowledge. He was thinking.

 There was an alarm call on the tab. “ Our school management wants to meet you. Please accept our request”

Before he could reply, his dream broke. The alarm was ringing.

Anusha in wonderland Part -10



Anusha had given names to all magic math school children. But in case of Circles and Ovals, she could not include name of points because there was no end or corner for them.

She thought over but could not find the answer. She even did not know how to draw these figures correctly in drawing. She then asked her Mom about it. Mom  brought compass box from shop and gave it to Anusha as a present for interest she has shown in .

She also showed her how to draw circle by using pair of compass. She marked a point on paper and fixed one end of compass on the point and turned the compass. Pencil was attached to the other end. Hence a circle  was  drawn on paper.



 For drawing oval Mom fixed two pins on paper and tied a long string to both these pins. Then by holding pencil in the thread she drew an oval shape.

 Anusha was very happy. Not just for knowing how to draw these figures but realizing the importance of centre and anchor points for circle and oval. She felt even circle and oval children in the school may not be knowing that points are necessary for their identification.

There were very less numbers of polygons who had number os sides more than 4. Hence all of them were put in one polygon class. Anusha had got the names of such shapes from her dad.

She wrote down these names on blackboard indicating number of sides and their names.


She also brought picture of such polygons who had all sided of equal length ( Regular polygons) .



 As usual she told them to choose different colors according to shape.
