A Good Reference Book on Business Management

I happened to visit Santa Clara County Library during my stay with my daughter. As I was always on lookout of latest good management books, I searched the section of New Book Arrivals. Within no time, my search ended. I got the book which gave book reviews of many best titles in business management i.e.

The 100 Best Business Books of All time’
by
Jack Covert and Todd Satterstein

I was glad that some of my favorite books which taught me a lot in managing and transforming a ‘struggling for survival company’ into ‘a firm aspiring for growth and maturity’ were included in the collection.

The website devoted for marketing this book www.100bestbiz.com gives a category-wise list of all books. The site also gives a PDF of book reviews which can be used as supplement to the list.

I do not know whether the book is available in India. Hence for the convenience of students of management and knowledge thirsty managers, I am reproducing list as below.

The books, I read, form a very small part in list and came to know about other important books I should read. I was delighted to find concise summary of the books worth reading selected by management experts from thousands of books available in the market.. Each book review also brings out the main message or word of advice in BOLD TYPE.

The book is not for casual readers or of temporary reading material. It is full of serious thinking and analysis of management problems and solutions found by CEOs of well known businesses. The book will serve as an excellent reference book for libraries of management training institutes as well as professionals and small businesses who can’t afford to have all the books in their own libraries.

I congratulate the authors for doing a wonderful job of compiling essentials from selected best management books and inspiring readers to read those books in detail. The publisher also deserve thanks for bringing out the book in attractive and effective readable format.

I would expect that authors would come out with similar book on Information Technology, which has greatest influence on world economy.
