Lamp of Poetry

By holding a lamp of poetry
I shall make you immortal
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever

Even though you have left us
You have given us the treasure of poetry
I shall not forget to distribute it to all
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever

Looking at your flame of poem
I can hear your musical sounds
I shall not spare to
Put oil ( love) in your lamp
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever

By growing roses through the thorns
You developed our beautiful lives
I shall live by wearing
The gold lined robes of poetry
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever

Standing, sitting and while doing every work
You have toiled your body for others
I shall keep your name on my lips
Through singing poem
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever


Everyday I see your face in my mind
As if the god Vtthal appears himself
You will remain with me forever
In the form of memory
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever


You have turned your life into gold
God has taken you to his abode
By giving lamp of poetry
You have given me immeasurable happiness
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever

There are no bounds of place and time
Whole universe is now yours
Still I shall sleep on your lap
In my dream now and then
Oh mother, I shall remember you forever
