Startup by Seniors

Govt. of India has taken a welcome step to boost startups by providing low interest Easy loan. However,  lot more needs to be done  for startups to succeed. Generally unemployed youth in India  faces many problems like tough competition, expectations from family and society, psychological depression leading to urgency of financial stability.  In most of the cases,  the family has spent lot of money to educate the youth and is not ready to face uncertainty of business success.  Naturally it opposes the idea of starting business  by taking loan and press for getting secure job with assured income.

No doubt, any business  requires  financial seed capital but  there are many other requirements which unemployed youth cannot manage on his own.  Any  business  requires some form of organization, group of working people,  market research, development of  customer base and experienced management. Fresh graduates do not have exposure to market realities and need help, guidance and financial support till the business becomes sustainable.

Government cannot meet all the requirements and the lead should come from financially stable senior people who are retired from successful career or service.  Retired people have lot of experience and ideas for doing business, they have financial stability  but are unable to pursue their aspirations due to age induced limitations. Such people should come forward and take a leading role in   startup business. This would provide a safe and strong platform for unemployed youth  to come together and start business with active leadership role by senior.

Dnyandeep Infotech Pvt. Ltd.  is the outcome of such experiment. It was established in year 2000 by me in  IT field with the help of fresh young graduate engineers . Though the company could not grow like any other famous startups, it provided full freedom to ideas and efforts of young aspirants. It provided a much needed   platform with  earn and learn policy.  Many of Dnyandeep’s employees  joined high paid jobs, some  could secure foreign assignments and some have established their own startups  Dnyandeep Infotech  did not grow but  could sustain all odds and evens for last fifteen years.

It also gave immense pleasure to me and my family. I could remain busy in my retirement period, share my ideas with young  and the experience kept me in the status of young student struggling to know latest and try new ideas. The staff at Dnyandeep has become part of our family and we do not feel alone or separated from children, even though both of them are in US.

I appeal to seniors to take up the challenge of making startups successful by venturing your funds, knowledge and ideas with young enthusiastic youth who are ready to work and develop your business .

  1. 100% successful startup "Dnyandeep Infotech Pvt Ltd."! I think many senior folks have great experience but they were never trained to take a risk.. Plus many folks never developed a passion for any technology, business or even hobby which in fact a key driving force behind good and healthy life!. So if not for anything at least for good healthy life this is must! It is very inspiring article for me (as I am in the same boat of nearly senior people :)

  2. Dnyandeep Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is 100% successful is true in the sense that it has remained only as startup for last 15 years. Still, it has served the purpose.
Such startups by all retired people who have well settled life, can solve unemployment problem and give a boost to Startup - Standup India mission.
