India is passing through severe economic slowdown, mega scale frauds in business houses and financial institutions and recurrent uncontrollable terrorist attacks. In spite of such confusing and precarious state of affairs, all political parties and social groups are busy in wielding their weapons of mass agitation, strikes and are busy in political grouping and regrouping.
It is a well known fact that parliament elections will cost huge expenditure, will raise ideological conflicts and would make central government weak in taking tough and quick decisions to bring the country on right path. We should behave like famous 'Vayam Panchadhikam Shatam' attittude at this critical time.
As a common citizen with no political linkages or motives, I sincerely feel that all parties should come together and take a decision to postpone the parliament elections by at least six months in the national interest.
This will give enough time to act, eliminate uncertainty and strengthen central government to take effective steps without delay. Its performance can then be made issue for elections after the main crises is resolved.
